(NASDAQ: NBIX) is offering the opportunity to gain scientific and operational experience in the world of biotechnology. Our intern program offers exposure from early-stage discovery all the way to clinical development. The RDSO team has a strong reputation in the industry for executing critical work and collaborating with many other functions./ppYour contributions (include, but are not limited to):/pulliAssist in driving RD development programs through operational and organizational activities/liliSupports vendor contract process, including negotiation and generation and approval of contracts Master Service Agreements (MSA) and Statement of Work (SOW) for assigned RD activities./liliEnsures contract administration activities such as invoice tracking/reconciliation, change orders/amendments to SOWs, budget setting, and processing legal review of changes for external projects./liliWorking with external vendors and partners to ensure work is on time, on budget, and meeting the needs of the scientists/liliInteracting with scientific, finance, legal, and business development areas within the company/liliCollaborating with a mentor team of cross-functional team members as well as the other interns in the class/liliCompleting a special project and presenting the recommendations to senior management upon completion/li/ulpRequirements:/pulliPursuing an undergraduate degree with an interest in biotechnology/liliSpecific degree or field required: Life Sciences/liliPrior experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry would be an asset but is not required/liliFamiliarity with biopharmaceutical technologies, physical and life sciences, product development, and regulatory approval processes is desirable/liliGood verbal and written communication skills/liliAbility to think creatively and be a team player/liliOffer flexibility with a willingness to work on multiple projects simultaneously/liliBring to the Company a skill set complementary to its technology and development therapeutics/liliInterest in attending various program events, including social gatherings, career development workshops, and more/liliAbility to commit to a 10-week, full-time summer program/liliLab Work Requirements: None/li/ulpNeurocrine Biosciences is an EEO/Disability/Vets employer.
