Crew software engineering associates use a variety of technologies in Agile and lean startup methodologies to automate manual processes, create microsites, learn new technologies, and everything in between.
Responsibilities - Learn and assist in the design and implementation of automation frameworks: Work with senior team members to learn and assist in the design and implementation of automation frameworks to support the testing of software applications
- Assist in defining test plans and test cases: Work with senior team members to assist in defining test plans and test cases based on functional requirements and design specifications
- Identify and report defects: Identify and report defects using bug tracking tools and processes under the guidance of senior team members
- Assist in analyzing test results: Work with senior team members to assist in analyzing test results to identify trends and issues and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure that products meet quality standards and customer expectations
- Learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends: Learn and stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to automation testing
- Manual test execution: While automation frameworks are being stood up and matured, execute manual testing to ensure a quality end product in production
Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 1+ years of experience in automation testing or related field
- Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar
- Basic programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C#
- Familiarity with API testing, performance testing, and security testing
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Eager to learn and have a strong desire to grow skills and knowledge in the field
The salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 or the hourly equivalent.
