Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Development Director to lead our fundraising and partnership initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will drive business development efforts, cultivate meaningful relationships with stakeholders, and develop innovative strategies to support our organizational growth. Your leadership will ensure the successful execution of campaigns, maximize revenue streams, and strengthen our community impact. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals to expand revenue sources and increase donor engagement.
  • Lead business development initiatives by identifying new partnership opportunities, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, and negotiating mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Oversee the management of CRM software systems such as Salesforce to track donor interactions, analyze data trends, and optimize outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns to enhance visibility, promote fundraising events, and communicate organizational impact effectively.
  • Manage a team of development professionals, providing guidance on project management, goal setting, and performance evaluation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design targeted outreach programs that foster long-term relationships with donors, partners, and community members.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in development and sales to continuously improve strategies and achieve organizational objectives.
  • Prepare detailed reports on fundraising progress, stakeholder engagement metrics, and strategic initiatives for senior leadership review.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and regulations related to fundraising activities and data management.

Experience

  • Proven success in business development or fundraising roles within nonprofit or corporate environments.
  • Extensive experience utilizing CRM software such as Salesforce for managing relationships and analyzing data.
  • Strong background in strategic planning, sales techniques, negotiation skills, and project management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles related to donor engagement and community outreach.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate organizational vision compellingly across diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with customer relationship management best practices and tools used in development settings.
