Job Description

Foreman Scaffolder – Diavik Diamond Mine (NWT)

We are currently seeking an experienced Foreman Scaffolder to join our team at the Diavik Diamond Mine in the Northwest Territories , starting January .

This position is based at a remote mine site and operates on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation , with flights provided .

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate scaffold crews to ensure safe and efficient work execution

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee scaffold erection, modification, and dismantling

  • Ensure all work complies with site safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements

  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety meetings, and job hazard assessments

  • Inspect scaffolding systems to ensure structural integrity and compliance

  • Communicate effectively with site management and other trades

Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a Scaffold Foreman in an industrial or mining environment

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to work in a remote, rotational camp setting

  • Must successfully pass:

    • Pre-access test

    • Physical / fitness-to-work assessment

    • Criminal record check

  • Valid safety certifications (Fall Protection, CSTS, WHMIS, etc.) are an asset
