Job Description

FULLBEAUTY Brands™ is the premier fashion and lifestyle destination for the plus size customer. We are an online and catalog marketplace offering a curated collection of the finest family of plus size brands and thousands of products.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Designer role is reporting to the Director of Design. This role is ideal for a skilled fashion designer who thrives in a highly creative and collaborative environment and is looking to grow their career by contributing to all stages of the design and product development lifecycle.

This position requires creative judgment and a high level of design expertise. The Designer will own the sportswear category (e.g., jackets, outerwear, pants, and skirts) and collaborate cross-functionally to bring fashion-forward, customer-relevant collections to life. The position requires strong conceptual skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to balance trend-driven innovation with commercial awareness.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research fashion trends, market competitors, and consumer insights to inform design direction.
  • Own the full design process for assigned categories - from concept development and sketching to tech pack creation and final production hand-off.
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Design and cross-functional partners to create cohesive, brand-right seasonal collections.
  • Create visual trend presentations and design boards to communicate seasonal concepts and influences.
  • Develop detailed sketches and design specifications with technical accuracy and creative clarity.
  • Build and manage tech packs in BeProduct, including all style, fabric, trim, and construction information.
  • Identify and recommend new fabrications, finishes, and wash treatments relevant to the seasonal line plan.
  • Review and approve fabric, trim, and wash submits in accordance with design intent and production timelines.
  • Lead denim and wash development efforts, including research, CAD creation, and wash board presentation.
  • Partner with the Technical Design team to ensure fit and construction meet brand standards and design goals.
  • Participate in fittings and provide feedback to maintain design integrity and garment quality.
  • Communicate directly with sourcing and factory partners to ensure accurate translation of designs from concept to final product.
  • Ensure all assigned projects are completed on time and meet brand, fit, and quality standards.
  • Respond to evolving business needs and design challenges with a solutions-oriented approach.
  • Work collaboratively with Merchandising and Production teams to align design vision with commercial objectives.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of design experience, preferably in women’s sportswear or related categories.
  • Strong technical knowledge of garment construction, fabrications, and finishing processes.
  • Experience with denim, twill, dye techniques, and garment washes.
  • Advanced trend forecasting ability and a strong sense of color and fabric.
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines independently.
  • Collaborative, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about inclusive fashion and committed to delivering customer-centric design.
