Position Overview
NorTek Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Dental Assistant to join a busy dental practice in Fontana, California. This full-time, on-site role supports dentists during clinical procedures while ensuring a positive and comfortable experience for patients. The Dental Assistant plays a key role in maintaining clinical efficiency, infection control standards, and high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are properly sterilized
Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols
Take and document patient medical and dental histories
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Assist with dental x-rays and other diagnostic imaging as needed
Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas
Support daily clinical operations within the dental office
Qualifications
Proficiency in dental assisting, dental care, and oral care practices
Working knowledge of dentistry principles and procedures
Experience with sterilization techniques and infection control standards
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first approach
Dental Assistant certification or relevant licensure preferred
Familiarity with dental office software and workflows is a plus
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
